I'm an editor with a background in theater dramaturgy and philosophy — two disciplines that share one obsession: what does it mean for something to work? Not just technically, but truthfully. Not just conventionally, but on its own terms.

I bring that question to every manuscript I work on. I'm not here to sand down your edges or steer you toward the safe version of your book. I'm here to help you figure out what you're actually trying to do — and then help you do it better than you thought you could.

About

I trained as a dramaturg — someone whose job is to ask the uncomfortable questions before opening night, not after. What is this piece really about? Who is it for? What is it asking of its audience? Those questions don't stop being useful when you swap the stage for the page.

I hold a Copyediting Certificate from UC San Diego and have worked with publishers, independent authors, and everyone in between. My editorial background spans memoir, literary fiction, cookbooks, essays, and more — which is a long way of saying: if you've written something a little genre-resistant, you've come to the right place.

I work with writers at every stage, from early drafts to final proofs. What matters to me isn't where you are — it's that you're trying to do something real.
